Facilities

The school is located in an area of 1,32,000 sq.ft. Buildings are constructed in an area of 18,756 sq.ft. The school has Three doubled – storeyed buildings.

There are 90 class rooms, besides office room, staff room & rooms for co-academic activities.

A highly sophisticated computer lab is present to fit in all the students of a class at a time. The school has separate labs for Biology, Physics, Chemistry & Computer Science.

There is a fully furnished play house for children with all necessary play things such us slides, jungle gym, see-saw, swings etc.

There are two spacious  play grounds. The school is upgraded as higher secondary in the academic year 2011-2012.

LABORATORY

Based on our pedagogy of learning by doing, In SSVS, classroom teaching is complemented with laboratory experiments to ensure that students grasp concepts thoroughly. Well stocked physics, chemistry, Biology and Mathematics lab provide a platform to students for observation, innovation, discovery, experimentation, verification and thus arriving at their own conclusions, deductions, principles and theories.

PHYSICS LAB

No theory can be substantiated without experiment. The best way to learn physics is the laboratory works. SSVS has a tally functional physics laboratory with apparatus of required standard. Lab activities reveal the crux of subject and the world of physics to the students. Activities conducted here stimulate the young scientists to relate physics with their day to day life.

CHEMISTRY LAB

The high-grade chemistry lab provides the students to nurture the budding scientists in them. It allows the students to explore chemical concepts, view changes in matter and acquire scientific skills is an atmosphere similar to professional scientific environment. SSVS has given a suitable platform for the students to indulge in a creative platform of observation, experimentation and theoretical inferences.

BIOLOGY LAB

SSVS has always paid premium attention to highly equipped and well stocked science laboratories to impart competence and enthusiasm in the subject.
The motto of biology lab is ‘learning by doing’ so as to enable hands on learning by the students. The laboratory provides the students with all sorts of facilities ranging from specimens, slides, microscopes to 3-D models of various biological structures. The spacious and creatively constructed lab caters the first-hand knowledge to students to gain full potential in the subject.

Our School library comprises of over 3000 books. Additional resources like magazines, newspaper, videos/DVDs, Audio  CDs, are also available. Latest Books are added every year. Children are motivated to develop reading habit

RULES FOR LIBRARY

1. Library books will be issued to the students from V std onwards
2. Only one book will be issued at a time.
3. Students can keep the book for only one week and is eligible for renewal.
4. The book should be handled carefully.
5. The students are expected to report to the Librarian about any damages or missing pages at the time of receiving the book.
6. If any damage or missing pages are noticed at the time of returning the book, the student will have to pay the charges levied by the school.
7. If any book is lost by the student, the cost of the same will be recovered.
8. The students are expected to read as many books as possible during the academic year.
9. Sub-lending of book borrowed from the library is not permitted.
10. Library hall must be quiet and orderly. Everyone must be mindful of other persons and try to keep the library a pleasant place for reading and study.

RULES TO BE FOLLOWED

1. The transport fee must be paid in the office before the 10th of every month.
2. If the transport fee is not paid on time the school transport will be stopped with immediate effect.
3. Bus stops once fixed will not be changed.
4. If a child wants to stop using the school transport the office should be informed a week earlier for attendance purpose.
5. Tips to the driver and assistant is prohibited.
6. Whenever a child using the school bus is taken home by private transport, the assistant and the class teacher must be informed.
7. The office may be contacted for any further information.

AVAILABILITY OF TRANSPORT FACILITIES TO THE DESTINATION

We have well defined hostel for Boys and Girls with numerous facilities. Additionally, we also have 3 Wardens to take care of the students and to look after Study Hours.

Our kitchen and dining facilities have been completely updated to include the most sophisticated and modern equipment used around the world. The food prepared in the food hub is made keeping in the mind, the health and nutritional value of the student’s well-being.
